The first step when setting up your business plan is to record some preliminary information about your business plan.
STEP 1: To do this, go to Planning > Corporate Planning > Overview.
Note that the Business Unit’s name, Responsible Person & Directorate fields are automatically populated and cannot be changed. These can only be edited through the Framework area by users with relevant security permissions.
At the top left hand corner you will see a dropdown list displaying your current Business unit. When you are logged in, this defaults to the Business unit your system Administrator has linked you to from the Framework area. If you want to view another Business unit you can select it from the dropdown box.
STEP 2: Specify the remaining details regarding your business unit.

Allows the ability to record a Business Unit Mission statement. This should be complementary to, not conflicting with the organisation’s mission statement. |

Business Planning Context |
The Business Planning Context field enables discussion of the key assumptions upon which the Business Plan has been developed (e.g. there will be additional staff). |

Stakeholders |
The Customer & Stakeholder Analysis field provides for an analysis of the customers and stakeholders of the business unit. This can be supplemented by the development of a stakeholder diagram that can be uploaded on a document. |

STEP 3: To upload a document, click on the browse button to locate a file on your workstation or network.
STEP 4: Click on the image placeholder if you want to associate an image with this entity.
STEP 5: Click the 'Save' button.
