Once the System Administrator has created custom hierarchies and hierarchy components within the Hierarchy Configuration area, they will be displayed under the ‘Custom Hierarchies’ menu as shown below (Eg: Hierarchy 1 and Hierarchy 2).
The System Administrator or the Strategic Planner has the ability to access these custom hierarchies and define child components details.
You can also access the "Navigation Pad" that will provide you with the ability to see a list of components per hierarchy.
The navigation pad gives a great view of your custom hierarchy. As you move your cursor over each section, related information will be displayed.
Clicking in an area will take you directly to that page, and will potentially allow you to edit that record – access will be determined by your security settings.
Clicking on any hierarchy component will enable the user to define child components as shown in the figure below.
